KickOff.com has learnt that Ajax Cape Town are preparing to take one of the top Gauteng-based clubs to the PSL DRC for allegedly trying to poach defender Rivaldo Coetzee.
Coetzee has downed tools and refused to report to Ikamva for the Urban Warriors' pre-season training, in bid to force a move away from the Cape-based outfit.
According to a source close to the matter, Ajax has already engaged their legal team to process and hand over Coetzee's matter to the Dispute Resolutions Chamber.
"The club boss, Ari [Efstathiou], is furious about the whole thing," says the source. "They have tried to engage the [interested] club to address the matter with no success. The club is now taking the case to DRC."
Sundowns have been prominently linked with Coetzee, however, club spokesperson Thulani Thuswa has denied any knowledge of a pending DRC hearing against them.
"We have not recieved anything from anybody – the PSL or Ajax – and I would not know what the DRC hearing is for," Thuswa tells this website.
"We did nothing wrong that we need to worry about a DRC for, so if there is in fact a hearing then I have no idea what it's for."
