Moon rues missed opportunities

Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon was delighted with his second goal in as many games for South Africa, but was left frustrated after admitting he “should have had a hat-trick” in the 1-0 win over Botswana on Saturday.
South Africa advanced to the final round of African Nations Championship qualifying with the victory, which gave them a 3-0 aggregate success. They will now meet Zambia over two legs next month.
Moon was lovely and after scoring after 13 minutes, then missed a number of chances to add to his tally.
“I could have had a hat-trick, I should have been more clinical in front of goal. But I’m happy for the team and for the coach [Stuart Baxter], he has been giving us an opportunity,” Moon told SABC.
“The great thing about the coach is that he is telling us youngsters to go out there and enjoy ourselves, and not putting us under pressure. For us youngsters to wear the national team jersey is a big achievement.
“It could have been five [goals] out of two [games] for me, but two from two … I will take it and move on.”
