SuperSport United MDC coach Kwanele Kopo wants Katlego Mohamme's Portugal move to serve as inspiration

SuperSport United's MultiChoice Diski Challenge coach Kwanele Kope believes Katlego Mohamme move overseas serves as motivation to other youngsters at the club.

The 19-year-old defender recently completed a loan move to Sertanense FC in Portugal.

Mohamme's new team campaign in the third tier of Portuguese football and the move is expected to be a good test for the junior international.

Having been a regular in Kopo's MDC team, Mohamme has the backing of the coach who hopes that the move will inspire some of his other charges to lift their game.

“I hope it goes well with the youngster as this is a good opportunity for him. He needs to stay focused and give it his best shot," Kopo told his club's official website.

"Also, I feel this is a big motivation to his teammates in the Reserve side and hopefully he opens the door for other players to join him overseas."
