Amajimbos overcame Mozambique by 3-1 in their opening Under-17 COSAFA Championship Group B clash at Stade St Francois Xavier in Port Louis on Friday.
A first-half brace from Mohammed Shahabodien and a second-half goal by James McFarlane ensured Molefi Ntseki's boys a convincing victory to go top of the group standings.
Shahabodien opened the scoring in the 17th minute, before Olefile Ramatlo struck the post two minutes later.
Shahabodien then added a second in the 38th minute, to afford South Africa a comfortable lead going into the half-time break.
Less than 15 minutes later, McFarlane got in on the action as he extended the lead, finishing off a Boikanyo Sekotlong's corner kick in the 58th minute.
