Sello Japhta still contracted to Orlando Pirates

Posted: 21 July 2017 Time: 08:00 has established that Sello Japhta still has a contract to honour with Orlando Pirates and is expected to report back for pre-season duty at Mayfair.

Japhta signed a three-year deal when he joined from Free State Stars at the beginning of last season.

However, after battling to break into the Pirates first team, he was then loaned out to Chippa United at the beginning of the year.

At Chippa he managed to make six appearances in all competitions, but his loan deal with The Chilli Boys is now up.

Japhta is however not yet back at Pirates for pre-season training, with indications that he is now seeking a return to Stars following his frustrating spell since his departure from Bethlehem.

His representatives have confirmed that he remains under contract with Pirates.

Meanwhile, Donald Mokondolela has already returned to Pirates for pre-season following the end of his loan spell with the Chilli Boys, while Mahlatse Makudubela has sealed a move in the opposite direction.
