Chippa United midfielder Mark Mayambela has expressed his pleasure at having made a return to the Chilli Boys.
Mayambela enters into his second spell with the Chippa, signing a three-year deal with the club after negotiating his release from Ajax Cape Town.
The 29-year-old has wasted no time linking up with his new club, joining them for pre-season training in Durban, and already feels comfortable at the side where he spent the first part of the 2015/16 season.
"I am happy to be back. I feel at home being back to Chippa United," 'Professor' told KickOff.com.
"It doesn't feel like I am new in the team as I know most of the guys from when I was still here and I am used to guys like [Katlego] Mashego that I played with at Pirates.
"[Today] was my first day at training. Obviously it's pre-season training and the main focus is on fitness, but hopefully when the season starts I will regain those touches."
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder says jumped at the opportunity to join Chippa United as they presented him with an offer he could not resist.
"It was all about stability and security in terms of the contract," he explained. "I was only left with one year with Ajax and Chippa gave me a three-year contract.
"It was an important decision for me and my family."
