Chippa United have announced the signing of Orlando Pirates stopper Brighton Mhlongo on a three-year deal.
The 26-year-old gloveman has been the subject of much speculation during the transfer window and, following the arrival of Wayne Sandilands at the Buccaneers, it was widely believed he would move on.
The Chilli Boys' chairman Siviwe ‘Chippa’ Mpengesi prematurely confirmed the deal over the weekend before later retracting his statement.
KickOff.com today revealed that proposed move was still on but, according to Mhlongo's agent Mike Makaab, nothing had been agreed.
The Eastern Cape-based outfit have now officially confirmed the arrival of the goalkeeper on a deal that comes to an end after the 2019/20 season.
