Nothing yet confirmed as Brighton Mhlongo's Orlando Pirates departure beckons

Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo is still expected to move away from the club despite the fact that an agreement over his exit has not yet been finalised.
Chippa United have made known their intentions to bring him on board with their club boss Siviwe ‘Chippa’ Mpengesi prematurely announcing the capture of the 26-year-old only to then retract his statement.
What is without doubt is that Mhlongo will not play regularly at Pirates in the new season and is aware that he has to move.
“The truth of the matter is that nothing has been agreed between Brighton and Chippa. I speak with Brighton every day and for now he remains a Pirates player,” says Mike Makaab, his representative at ProSport International.
Mhlongo – just like all other keepers who played for Pirates last season – was at fault for conceding silly goals which has prompted the club to bring in Wayne Sandilands.
The Bucs now have five goalkeepers on their books in Siyabonga Mpontshane, Jackson Mabokgwane, Mhlongo, Sandilands and Emmanuel Daniel.
