Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Enocent Mkhabela remains stuck as negotiations to find a way out of the contract binding him to the Naturena-based club continue.
Chiefs have long since announced that Mkhabela is not in their plans and that he will be given the chance to make his stay at Platinum Stars permanent, having spent the second half of the past season on loan there.
However, a separation between Mkhabela and Chiefs must first be reached.
Dikwena will apparently only be keen on the 28-year-old if he is a free agent.
“The matter between him [Mkhabela] and Chiefs is still being resolved,” said Tim Sukazi, the player’s representative.
“If anything is agreed on then he will have to be released. It is anticipated that the matter will be resolved soon and if he is free then Platinum Stars will be keen."
Mkhabela had a disastrous six-month stay with Chiefs at the beginning of last season after arriving from SuperSport United, failing to make a single appearance which eventually led to him moving to Stars in January.
Dikwena is the first club that Mkhabela played for when he arrived in the PSL six years ago.
