Thela Ngobeni's future at Mamelodi Sundowns will depend largely on whether the African champions choose to keep Wayne Sandilands at the club.
Sandilands is currently out of contract at Masandawana but this website understands they are interested in retaining his services.
Ugandan star Denis Onyango and Zambian stopper Kennedy Mweene are also on the books at Chloorkop but if Sandilands were to leave the door may be open.
Ngobeni is also said to be attracting interest from Platinum Stars after enjoying a good season on loan at Free State Stars where he managed seven clean sheets in 29 appearances in all competitions.
The 28-year-old's representative Mirko Agnelli clarifies that his client is contracted to Sundowns with the only grey area relating to whether he will be loaned out again or given the opportunity to fight for a place at the club.
"At this point we can say he [Ngobeni] is very much a Sundowns player," Agnelli tells KickOff.com. "The only issue is whether he is going to be loaned out again or he is staying. But we should be getting a full confirmation about that on Monday.
"As you know there is this goalkeeping issue at Sundowns at the moment - we will see if someone leaves."
