Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has named three changes to his starting XI for today’s Cosafa Castle Cup Plate final against Namibia.

South Africa saw their campaign in the tournament proper come to an end at the first hurdle following their quarter-final loss to Tanzania last weekend, but have the chance at redemption after beating Botswana in this week’s Plate semi-final.

On the team front, goalkeeper Boalefa Pule comes back into the first XI at the expense of Kaizer Chiefs starlet Bruce Bvuma, whose club-mate Lorenzo Gordinho starts after sitting out the win over Botswana.

The final change sees Judas Moseamedi return to the starting XI after coming off the bench to net Bafana’s second goal in the semis.

Meanwhile, Thendo Mukumela and Mario Booysen start their third match in a row at the tournament, with Mothobi Mvala moving into the midfield alongside captain Lehlogonolo Masalesa.

Mukumela, Booysen and Norodien are the only three players to have started all three matches in the COSAFA Castle Cup, while goalkeeper Darren Johnson, defender Sandile Mthethwa and midfielder Sibongakonke Mbatha are yet to play in this tournament.

Kick-off is set for 17h00.
