Orlando Pirates reject Baroka's Thabiso Kutumela bid

Posted: 5 July 2017 Time: 15:47

KickOff.com can confirm that Baroka’s attempts to bring back Thabiso Kutumela from Orlando Pirates have hit a snag with The Bucs insisting on keeping the former youth international.

Baroka had made a loan request for both of their ex-players at Pirates – Gift Motupa and Kutumela – but only the former was allowed to return to Limpopo after spending two years in Johannesburg.

Bakgaga had also requested Zimbabwean midfielder Marshall Munetsi stay on at the club on loan after a successful stint last term and Pirates agreed.

It is with Kutumela that they have found no luck.

Though the 24 year-old has battled in his first season with The Bucs with just six appearances in all competitions with a return of a single goal, the club appears to still have plans for him.

Authorities at Baroka have confirmed that they have been told they cannot have Kutumela back for now.

Kutumela had already indicated his desire to move to enable him a chance of playing regularly.

The ex-youth international also saw a move to Golden Arrows fall through in January.
