Cape Town City have confirmed star midfielder Aubrey Ngoma has undergone a successful operation on his knee.
The winger, who scored seven goals and made 16 assists for the Citizens in the 2016/17 campaign, was forced out of the Bafana Bafana camp last week after suffering an injury during training.
The playmaker has since gone under the knife in a bid to help speed up his recovery, with Cape Town City confirming the news on Twitter:
The Citizens will be hoping the midfielder enjoys a speedy recovery as they look ahead to a second season in the PSL, having won the Telkom Knockout trophy and finished third in the Absa Premiership in the club's debut campaign.
