South Africa will face Namibia in the COSAFA Castle Cup plate final after the latter saw off Swaziland 1-0 in the second semi-final on Tuesday.
Bafana Bafana, who lost to Tanzania in the quarter-finals of the tournament proper, had earned their place in the runners-up showpiece after tonight’s 2-0 win over Botswana.
South Africa and Namibia will now clash in the plate final on Friday.
Namibia created the first chance after just three minutes as Deon Hotto unleashed an audacious 40-yard strike which needed saving by the goalkeeper.
Swaziliand looked to respond through Mxolisi Lukhele but his effort was blocked by the defence, before Gumbi finally managed to test Maximilian Mbaeva, although it was straight at the keeper.
Hotto then blazed wide at one end before Felix Badenhorst followed suit at the other as the sides eventually went into the half-time break still goalless.
Just 12 minutes into the second half, though, and the Namibians were in front as Keimuine flicked the ball on for Roger Katjiteo, who duly volleyed home.
Keimuine then came close to getting on the score sheet himself but saw his effort saved by the keeper, while Swaziland failed to find the target with wayward shots from Badenhorst and Sibandze.
