Cape Town City release Ghanaian Joseph Adjei

Posted: 3 July 2017 Time: 10:59 can reveal that Cape Town City have released Ghanaian defender Joseph Adjei.

The 21-year-old failed to live up to expectations in his only season with the Premiership outfit following his arrival from Wa All Stars

City also recently parted ways with in-demand winger Bhongolwethu Jayiya.

"Adjei is not coming back, the same with Jayiya," says an official at the club.

"The rest of the guys are back for pre-season training."

The Citizens have started pre-season training under new coach Benni McCarthy, who has been boosted by the signings of Bafana Bafana international Ayanda Patosi, winger Lyle Lakay and Mozambican left-back Jeitoso.
