Platinum Stars have been eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup following a 2-0 defeat to MC Algers on Friday evening.
Dikwena conceded on either side of half-time as they saw their hopes of advancing to the knockout stages disappear before their eyes at the Stade 5 Juillet 1962 in Algiers.
Stars went behind after just 11 minutes as captain Abderahmane Hachoud converted for the hosts from the penalty spot, after a cynical slide challenge from Charles Baloyi inside his own area.
Mouloudia then sealed the victory in fine style in stoppage time as Hichem Nekkache sweetly struck a right-footed volley from outside the area to double his side's lead.
The defeat means the Rustenburg-based outfit remain bottom of Group B, with two points from five games, while MC Algers have all but sealed their passage to the quarterfinals as they lead the standings with 11 points.
Second-placed SC Sfaxien visit third-placed Mbabane Swallows on Sunday, with the Swazi side needing a victory to keep their hopes of advancing alive, as they sit three points behind the Tunisian side, who are on seven points from four games.
Stars will host Swallows in their final group encounter at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium next weekend, before bowing out of their maiden Confederation Cup campaign.
Platinum Stars: Chibwe, Mpeta, Mlilo, Mwedihanga, Mnguni, Mere, Baloyi, Senne, Ng'ambi, Mabena, Ntuli.
