Bloemfontein Celtic have roped in midfielders Mduduzi Nkosi and Rhulani Sidumo from Acornbush United.

While Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco told the pair are on trial at the club, Nkosi insists he and Sidumo have penned two-year contracts with Phunya Sele Sele.

"Actually it's been a while now since we've put pen to paper," says Nkosi.

"We've signed for two seasons, plus an option. All along we had pre-contracts with Celtic."

Nkosi, who netted 14 goals in the third tier last term, is determined to make an impact in the topflight.

"They [Celtic] are a good team. I believe we will be given an opportunity to play. We want to get paid for playing football not for sitting on the bench.

"AmaZulu wanted to sign me, Royal Eagles as well. As for Cape Town City they didn't show me any seriousness in their approach," Nkosi adds when explaining his decision to link up with Siwelele.

Nkosi and Sidumo notably scored against Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs respectively in the Nedbank Cup in 2016/17.
