Golden Arrows have confirmed that midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi will not be with the club this coming season.
The former Bafana Bafana regular joined Arrows on a short-term deal in October last year after training with the team following his release from English Championship side Cardiff City.
The 32-year-old started his second stint at Abafana Bes'thende in positive fashion as he scored against Maritzburg United in a 2-2 draw at Harry Gwala Stadium in October with a side-footed finish off a cross from Vuyani Ntanga.
However, a recurring ankle injury and weight issues restricted him to only 10 league appearances without his ever completing a full match.
The ex-Fulham and Crystal Palace man last played for Arrows against Polokwane City in April and subsequently suffered a calf strain at training. He missed the club's last six matches as Clinton Larsen's side finished in the top eight for the first time since 2009.
Larsen confirmed 'KG' is moving on from the MTN8 participants.
"Yes, that's right we will not renew the contract of KG," Larsen tells KickOff.com.
"He signed a short-term contract remember. He was just looking for a club to keep himself fit while he was weighing up his options and stuff.
"So he only signed a short-term deal contract and the club hasn't engaged him to extend his stay."
