Former Free State Stars defender Thato Tlhone has broken his silence following reports he signed pre-contracts with both Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates.
Tlhone arrived in Johannesburg on Wednesday to begin his new career with Wits and will start training with the PSL and MTN8 champions tomorrow.
The Mafikeng-born player insists he has no idea where the speculation linking him with Pirates comes from.
"I am a Bidvest Wits player," Tlhone tells KickOff.com, echoing the stance of Clever Boys CEO Jose Ferreira.
"I don't know where this speculation is coming from and who is writting these stories that I signed with Pirates. As I told you I am a Bidvest Wits player and I am looking forward to start training with the club tomorrow."
Thlone says he feels honoured to join Gavin Hunt's side and is relishing the prospect of playing Champions League football.
"I feel honoured to have joined an ambitious club like Wits who have just won the league title. I am looking forward to adding value and contributing to the success of the team this coming season. I am also excited about the prospect of playing in the Champions League next season."
