Spurs finished last season in seventh position and were in contention for a promotion play-off spot until the final day of fixtures.

Christian spent part of last season with Mbombela United, joining on loan from Highlands Park in January.

His contract with the Lions of the North, with whom he enjoyed a succesful 2015/16 season when they were promoted to the top flight, has now expired.

Spurs have seized upon the opportunity to sign the burly 34-year-old, tying him to a one-year deal with an option to renew.
