Orlando Pirates Kjell Jonevret is anticipating a humdinger of a Nedbank Cup final as he hopes to turn the club's fans and the players' frowns upside down.
Jonevret is remaining optimistic of a turn-around in Pirates fortunes, as they gear up for what he hopes will be an entertaining clash against SuperSport United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this evening.
The Swede has already had a taste of the opposition when they met in their second-round Absa Premiership clash, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate back in March.
However, he is hopeful that this one game can erase the hurt from their disappointing league campaign.
"We know what we are up against. They are a very organized team, and a tough team to play against because they don't give too much away," said Jonevret.
"I think one cup final – one game in the cup – can change everything. We don't care about what happened earlier [in the season]. The team is going to have the best day and we are ready to work hard to win."
With Durban proving a happy hunting grown for the Buccaneers in the past, Jonevret expects a tight yet entertaining affair at the iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup venue.
"I hope for everyone here [in Durban], and the whole country watching the game on television, it's going to be a fun one, also because normally that it the case when SuperSpot and Pirates play," he added.
"But I also think it could be two teams a little afraid of opening up, but I hope it's going to be fun to watch."
