Mozambican striker Helder Pelembe has asked to be released from current club Baroka FC due to a lack of game time.
The former Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic forward joined Bakgaga as a free agent in December last year on a one-and-a-half-year contract, but constant changes in the coaching department saw him failing to adapt.
According to a well-placed source, the striker will be released without any conditions attached.
"Helder has already told them [Baroka] that he wants to leave, and they have agreed to his request," a source close to the player tells KickOff.com.
"He is going back home to Mozambique tomorrow, but will come back soon because he still prefers to play in South Africa, though he has a few offers in his country as well."
Pelembe played just 35 minutes for Baroka in the league over the past six months, coming on as a substitute in a goalless draw against provincial rivals Polokwane City in March.
