Excitement is steadily building among the ranks of Orlando Pirates fans as the Nedbank Cup final draws ever closer.
The Buccaneers face SuperSport United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday 24 June in what is anticipated to be an epic showdown.
As the main sponsor and proud partner of Orlando Pirates, Vodacom is making sure the players feel the full force of support from their fans as they prepare for the match by extending the #BucsSizophumelela Twitter campaign - via which fans can share personal messages of solidarity with the team - that proved so popular in the lead-up to the semi-final.
“The Vodacom #BucsSizophumelela campaign has been a roaring success and the tremendous outpouring of support surely played a role in inspiring Pirates to victory in the semi-final against Golden Arrows,” says Rowen Gangulu, Vodacom sponsorship manager.
“We encourage every Bucs fan to do the same for the final by using the #BucsSizophumelela and tag @VodacomSoccer on Twitter to leave a message of support for Bucs quest for glory.”
To get the passion flowing ahead of the big game, Vodacom will be hosting a roadshow at The Workshop Shopping Centre in Durban Central on Friday, 23 June 2017 between 12:00 and 17:00, where supporters can gather together and share their excitement and support.
There will be plenty of entertainment and lots of prizes and giveaways for Pirates fans and Vodacom subscribers who will be rewarded simply for supporting their team.
“This is a big moment for the club,” says Thandi Merafe, Orlando Pirates media officer. “Victory will be a turning point for us because we want to give our fans something to savour.
“Through the excellent efforts of our trusted partners, Vodacom, the #BucsSizophumelela campaign has once again illustrated the dedication of our support base and we would love to reward them for their loyalty with a victory.”
