Baroka FC have already twice approached Stellenbosch FC over a deal for Junaid Sait

Posted: 19 June 2017 Time: 09:05 can reveal that Stellenbosch FC captain Junaid Sait could further his career with Baroka FC in the Absa Premiership next season.

This comes after the Bakgaga secured their top-flight status for another term following the 1-1 draw against Black Leopards in the final match of the PSL Promotion Playoffs on Saturday.

The Polokwane-based outfit ultimately finished top of the mini-league with two wins and two draws to avoid dropping down to the National First Division.

“Yes, we made contact [with Stellenbosch FC over Sait] before and after our match against them,” a source close to the PSL club tells

“I think Sait will fit in nicely with the set-up. He’s a very versatile player and can be used in the midfield if need be. But nothing has been concluded yet,” adds the source.

The former Milano United player had been one of Stellies’ stalwarts during their NFD campaign and it comes as no surprise that PSL clubs are in search of his signature.

This website understands that Stellenbosch had failed to activate the one-year option on Sait’s, but they are still set to make a nice profit from his sale.

“This move could, in the end, still be financially very benefiting for both parties,” the source concludes.
