Ajax Cape Town utility player Erwin Isaacs informs KickOff.com he expects the club to benefit massively from the knowledge and experience of Boebie Solomons.
This website earlier this month revealed the 60-year old well-travelled Solomons was in the process of signing a one-year deal with the Urban Warriors as assistant coach to Stanely Menzo.
Isaacs, who himself penned a two-year extension at Ikamva this week, has worked with Solomons before during the pair’s time together Santos and is of the opinion that Solomons’ insight into the Absa Premiership will add value to the Mother City club.
“I don’t think anyone can doubt coach Boebie’s knowledge and capabilities as he had success with a number of clubs,” Isaacs tells KickOff.com.
“He’s very underrated in my opinion and deserves more respect. I’m very happy to work with him again. This is a step in the right direction with coach Boebie here with us. Hopefully, he can also get the best out of me like he did at Santos,” adds the former Bidvest Wits player.
Isaacs was one Ajax’s most consistent performers last season and it came as no surprise when management extended his stay by two years, with the option to renew for a further 12 months.
“I’m glad that my future is secured with the club and I can now focus on my job. I can assure the fans that my best is yet to come, especially with coach Boebie in our camp,” Isaacs concludes.
