Ajax Cape Town announce two-year extension with Erwin Isaacs

Posted: 15 June 2017 Time: 14:04

Ajax Cape Town have announced the contract extension of defender Erwin Isaacs on a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old winger-turned-full-back was set to see his stay at Ikamva coming to an end at the end of this month, however, the Urban Warriors have since tied him down until 2019.

Isaacs joined the Cape Town-based side from Bidvest Wits in 2015, and has established himself as the first-choice right-back under coach Stanley Menzo.

'Appels', as he is affectionately known, made 25 Absa Premiership starts this past season, with 19 of those coming as a defender.

Ajax have also added First Division top goalscorer and striker Sedwyn George from Royal Eagles, as well as former Platinum Stars centre-back Isaac Nhlapo to their books ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
