Lebogang Manyama voices support for new coach Benni McCarthy

Cape Town City captain Lebogang Manyama has voiced his support for new coach Benni McCarthy and admits "it's not going to be easy."
Following the completion of his Bafana Bafana duties, Manyama has officially welcomed the arrival of McCarthy, who replaced departed coach Eric Tinkler.
McCarthy was unveiled to the media on Tuesday, having penned a three-year deal with the Citizens, earning his first job has a head coach since retiring as a player in 2013.
Havin skippered the side to the Telkom Knockout Cup and a third-place finish in the Absa Premiership last season, the 26-year-old midfielder is excited at the prospect of working with a former UEFA Champions League winner.
"Firstly, I would like to welcome coach Benni," Manyama told his club's media. "I think it's very exciting, obviously, for the team to get a manager like Benni to lead us because he is a person that has so much knowledge about football to share.
"I'm very happy that we are going to be the team to benefit from that."
The former SuperSport United and Ajax Cape Town attacker, who was a star performer on the domestic scene last term – finishing on 14 goals and seven assists in 36 starts, admits McCarthy's arrival won't make it easy for the club to succeed but is rallied the teams' support for the 39-year-old tactician.
"It's not going to be easy, but one thing I can assure him is that we are all in it with him all the way. Welcome to the Cape Town City FC family coach Benni, all the best," he concluded.
