Masalaelo Seanego to be recalled from loan by Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates' Masalaelo Seanego will return to the club ahead of the new season following a stellar campaign with National First Division outfit Royal Eagles.

According to the 23-year-old, Bucs Administrative Officer Floyd Mbele has informed him he'll be recalled for next season.

"So far I see myself back at Pirates," Seanego tells "I recently had a chat with Mr Floyd [Mbele] and he promised to call me when they open for pre-season as they are busy with preparing for the [Nedbank Cup] final."

The player says he cannot wait to impress coach Kjell Jonevret should he be given a chance at the Soweto giants.

"I'm not quite sure he [Jonevret] has seen me play but I will make sure he sees what a special player I am when I get there. He is new, so I believe he will give everybody an equal chance to showcase their talents."

When asked by this website about his nickname 'Shakes', Seanego couldn't hide his amusement because of the position he now plays.

"The thing is now I'm playing left-back, it started when I got at Pirates, coach Roger [De Sa] and Tebza [Tebogo Moloi] used to play me there, mostly in friendlies. But playing left-back has helped me a lot in finding my rightful position, and I'm enjoying it," he said.

"I think I have matured enough to fight for a position at Pirates, and I have experience, I have grown up as well in the two years I have spent on loan. This season alone I played about twenty games for Eagles."
