Free State Stars say goodbye to no fewer than eight players in off-season clearout

Posted: 13 June 2017 Time: 15:38

Free State Stars have revealed the departure of no fewer than eight players as they look to clear out any dead weight ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Ea Lla Koto only narrowly avoided finishing in the Absa Premiership relegation zone this term, with only goal difference preventing them from having to grind through the ongoing PSL Promotion Playoffs.

Stars are now looking to avoid a similar fate next season and as such have begun clearing out the rafters, while the likes of Bokang Tlhone and Moeketsi Sekola leave after signing deals with rival clubs.

The other six players headed for the exit doors are defenders David Nkausu and Thabang Matuka, midfielder Angelo Kerspuy, as well as Nyiko Tshabangu, Mbuyiselo Thethani, Nhlakanipho Ntuli.
