KickOff.com has gathered that Kurt Lentjies remains contracted to Maritzburg United and clubs interested in his services will have to go through the Team of Choice.
Lentjies has apparently been in talks with prospective clubs and was said to have already signed for Chippa United, while the latest information reaching this website is that he is also in talks with Cape Town City.
Word is that he favours a move away from Maritzburg due to personal reasons and would prefer a switch back to his hometown of Cape Town.
Through all this, Farook Kadodia, the Maritzburg boss, insists Lentjies is still under contract until June 2018.
“The player is being naughty by going around marketing himself to other clubs. He is still contracted to us until June 2018 and for a move to happen the interested clubs will have to go through us first,” Kadodia tells KickOff.com.
Lentjies has been back with Maritzburg for his third spell with the club for the past three seasons and put in a solid shift through the last campaign.
The 32-year-old has also previously played his football in the PSL at Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United and Bloemfontein Celtic.
