KickOff.com has been informed that Nigerian defender James Okwuosa is working on a move back to Chippa United following a horror half-season stay at Orlando Pirates.
Okwuosa joined Pirates during the January transfer window but has unfortunately seen his career freeze which explains why he now wants to return to Chippa in the latest chapter of his on and off relationship with the club.
Talks are already ongoing between all the parties involved.
Of the 17 league matches that Pirates played this year Okwuosa featured in just one – the 6-0 humiliation to Mamelodi Sundowns back on February 11 and since then he was either on the bench or not in the match day squad.
He also didn’t feature in any of the cup games that Pirates played.
Prior to moving he had featured in 17 games in the colours of Chippa United during the first half of the season.
The Nigerian had initially joined Pirates at the beginning of the season before being forced to return to Chippa after then-Bucs coach Muhsin Ertugral indicated that he is not keen on him.
The big defender headed back to Chippa before then eventually leaving in January.
