Ex-Bafana coach Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba, SAFA settle legal dispute

Posted: 2 June 2017 Time: 14:45

Ex-Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim Mashaba has reportedly settled his legal dispute with SAFA.

According to Eyewitness News, the pair have reached an amicable agreement after 'Shakes' challenged the grounds of his dismissal from the Bafana hotseat through the CCMA.

Shakes was fired in December last year, having been found guilty of 'gross misconduct, insubordination and violating SAFA's communications policy' at a disciplinary hearing.

He was previously indefinitely suspended from his coaching duties on November 13 following a tirade aimed at the SAFA hierachy after Bafana's 2-1 win over Senegal in World Cup qualifying.

SuperSport United coach Stuart Baxter was in May appointed as the new Bafana coach, taking over the reins from caretaker boss Owen da Gama.
