The Glamour Boys, who are currently in fifth position on the table, can only finish as high as fourth, provided they beat Wits and SuperSport United drop points against Platinum Stars.

Molangoane could not withstand his desire to be on the receiving end of the Absa Premiership trophy, which will be handed over to the Clever Boys today.

“I wish it could have been us that would lift the trophy after the game [today],” Molangoane told his club's website ahead of today's game.

“Wits won the league and I congratulate them. They fought hard to win it.”

The diminutive winger feels their poor chance conversion rate was their undoing this season, and feels it is something they ought to rectify if they wish to end their trophy drought next season.

“We created a lot of chances this season but we didn’t convert enough of those chances. That cost us," he conceded.

"We, as technical staff and players, must go back to the drawing board, as we definitely want to win trophies next season.

“The coach can only do so much. In the end, it’s the players who have to do the job on the pitch.”

'Tight' has called on the Amakhosi faithful to come out in their numbers for their final clash of the campaign, and has promised to give them a joyful send-off to the off-season break.

“It’s an important game and we will be looking for a win. I would love to have our supporters come in numbers to our last game of the season. We won’t let them down,” he concluded.
