Emmanuel Adebayor named in 23-man Togo squad for AFCON qualifiers

Veteran striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who has returned to form in club football in Turkey, will lead a 23-man squad named by Togo for next month’s African Nations Cup qualifiers.
Coach Claude Le Roy named four uncapped players but will have to do without several regulars like injured Razak Boukari, Mathieu Dossevi, Alaixys Romao and Prince Segbefia for their friendly internationals against Nigeria in Paris on June 1 and the Comoros Islands on June 4, and then their African Nations Cup qualifier in Blida against Algeria on June 11.
The newcomers are Elom Nya-Vedji, the revelation of a recent youth tournament in Lomé; goalkeepers Alhassani Dida Fatao and Sabirou Bassa Djeri Djeri and midfielder Serge Seko who plays his club football in Angola.
