Thulani Hlatshwayo reveals his dream of playing for Orlando Pirates one day

Bidvest Wits captain Thulan Hlatshwayo has confessed his childhood dream of one day donning the famous black and white of Orlando Pirates.
Hlatshwayo has just led The Clever Boys to a historic, maiden Absa Premiership title, while also bagging his long-awaited first league winners' medal.
The 27-year-old Soweto-born defender came close back in 2011, when his former club Ajax Cape Town narrowly missed out on the crown on the final day of the season to the Buccaneers.
The Bafana Bafana centre-back has this season finally realised his dream of winning the league title, adding to the MTN8 crown his side clinched ahead of rivals Mamelodi Sundowns earlier this year, and has since earned his spot as a KICK OFF Footballer of the Year nominee for 2017.
Following his nomination, 'Tyson' features in the latest edition of KICK OFF Magazine, which hit shelves yesterday (Friday), where he chats about his growth at the Braamfontein-based outfit, while also admiting his wish to one day join the Ghost, although insisting he is still happy at his current club.
“I’m still contracted to Wits until 2019 and I’m very happy at my club, but one day I will listen to offers from other clubs who want my services, and can offer me a good deal,” he says.
“But I will only begin to think of that once I lift the league and make history with Bidvest Wits.
"I grew up supporting Pirates, and yes, they are struggling right now, but, given an opportunity, one day I would like to realise one of my childhood dreams and don the black and white, knowing also that most of my family supports Pirates.
“I can’t lie, I don’t want to retire one day without playing a Soweto Derby.”
Wits next face Kaizer Chiefs in their final league game of the season at the FNB Stadium next week Saturday, when the official handover of the trophy will be made by the PSL.
