Baroka FC co-coach Kgoloko Thobejane says Mozambican striker Helder Pelembe is still in the club's plans and intends to call on the forward's experience in at least one of their remaining two games.
Whispers in the club corridors had suggested the former Orlando Pirates man will be released come the end of the season after failing to impress the technical team since his arrival in December.
"Helder Pelembe is part of the team," Thobejane tells KickOff.com. "His time will come. He will definitely get a chance in one of our remaining two games.
It's just that in football you know you can only select eleven or eighteen players. But we will use him a lot next season. His experience can help."
Club CEO Morgan Mammila echoed the sentiments of the coach, citing the presence of more in-form players as the grounds for Pelembe only making a single substitute appearance since arriving.
"[Maboke] Matlakala is doing better than him I think. There is no such [thing as Pelembe release]. He will be with us next season," Mammila states.
