Dikwena in talks with Ndumiso Mabena over new contract

Posted: 15 May 2017 Time: 16:10

Platinum Stars are confident that in-demand striker Ndumiso Mabena will stay with the club next season.

Mabena's contract with Stars will expire at the end of June, with Kaizer Chiefs reportedly interested in securing the services of the former Orlando Pirates attacker.

Dikwena, however, are determined to retain Mabena.

"We want to keep him," says club general manager Senzo Mazingiza.

"Our negotiations are ongoing. We are confident that we will keep him next season."

Mabena, who missed the 1-1 draw with MC Alger in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday through injury, has netted five goals and provided eight assists in all competitions in 2016/17.
