Ajax Cape Town captain Travis Graham says they also need the three points against relegation-threatened Bloemfontein Celtic, so there will be no mercy at Cape Town Stadium tonight.
Ajax are eighth on the log and Celtic are 12th, with both teams left with three games.
Kick-off is at 20h15 in the Mother City.
“The guys are quite ready and we have a confident booster coming out of the Chippa [United] [1-0] win [last week Saturday],” Graham tells KickOff.com.
“So, it’s going to be an interesting match, you know. Celtic are still in the relegation battle and they’ll want to get all these points.
“But for us playing at home we have to keep on going and get the results if we want to stay in the top eight… and that’s the goal for the team at the moment.
“We want to stay in the top eight, that’s our main focus so we gonna go out and get the three points. No mercy… and that’s how we planning to play.
“We want to play in the top eight [next season] because we feel that this team is better than what we actually started out with, you know.”
Graham adds that they want to reward their fans by qualifying for the MTN8, after they started the 2016/17 season badly which also resulted in Roger de Sa resigning as head coach.
“In the beginning of the season we struggled to get points and this is a turn around, you know. If you want to end the season in a high then I think this is a perfect moment to get results and reward the fans by securing a top eight [spot] – so that’s our aim.”
