SA players abroad: Mayambela, Mokotjo, Mothiba, Ndlovu, Phiri, Veldwijk, Zungu

A round-up of the South Africans abroad who were in action this past weekend.

MIHLALI MAYAMBELA
Mayambela played for Swedish second-tier side Degerfors as they won 3-1 at home to Dalkurd.

LINDOKUHLE MFEKA
Mfeka has moved on loan from San Jose Earthquakes to third-tier Reno 1868 in the USA and played in their 4-0 away win over Phoenix Rising.

KAMOHELO MOKOTJO
Mokotjo captained FC Twente in their disappointing 1-0 loss to Sparta Rotterdam. They must now beat Groningen in the final round of matches on Sunday to be assured of a place in the UEFA Europa League play-offs.

LEBOGANG MOTHIBA
Mothiba played for French Ligue 2 side Valenciennes as they were held 0-0 at home by Red Star.

DINO NDLOVU
Ndlovu was not in the match day squad as his Azerbaijan club Qarabag completed a league and cup ‘Double’ with a 2-0 cup final win over Qabala.

LEBOGANG PHIRI
Phiri played for Danish side Brondby as they lost 4-2 at Midtjylland. It matters not, they are assured of second place this season.

LARS VELDWIJK
Veldwijk played for Norwegian side Aalesund as they claimed a 1-0 away win at Molde.

BONGANI ZUNGU
Zungu started for Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes as they recorded a 1-0 home win over Arouca, a seventh league victory in a row for the side.
