Kaizer Chiefs winger Edmore Chirambadare insists the Glamour Boys are still in contention for league honours.
Amakhosi, who host Golden Arrows at 20h15 at FNB Stadium, trail log leaders Bidvest Wits by eight points with four games remaining.
While the odds favour the Soweto giants ending a second season under Steve Komphela without silverware, Chirambadare maintains the side has not lost hope.
“We are still in the fight to win the league,” Chirambadare told the club's website.
“We are aware of the talk about the league title race. People have the right to voice their opinion.
“It’s not over until it’s over. Our goal is to deliver the goods on the pitch until the last game of the season and then we will see where we stand.”
The Zimbabwean expects top-eight hopefuls Abafana Bes'thende to attack on the break at Soccer City.
“They play good counter-attacking football. We will be aware of that, while otherwise trying to dominate the match and play our own positive football.”
He appealed to the Chiefs faithful to make their presence count this evening.
“We will do our best to make our supporters happy. The supporters must come in their numbers to enjoy and watch us win tonight.”
In team news, first-choice goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is available again after shaking off a hip problem, which saw youngster Bruce Bvuma play in the recent 3-2 loss to Cape Town City and 2-2 draw with SuperSport United.
Fellow keeper Brilliant Khuzwayo has started light training as he makes his way back from an ankle injury, but left-back Sibusiso Khumalo remains on the sidelines with a knee complaint, while offensive midfielder Joseph Molangoane is suspended.
