Chippa United striker Katlego Mashego believes their Nedbank Cup home run is a good omen in their quest to lift their maiden topflight trophy.
The Chilli Boys are set to host the defending champions SuperSport United following the outcome of the semi-final draw conducted on Monday evening.
Chippa, who have reached the last-four round of any competition for the first time in the club's history, have enjoyed a relatively easier passage after beating Witbank Spurs, Polokwane City and Jomo Cosmos en-route to the semi-finals.
Mashego believes fate has been on their side with regards to their home draws and level of opposition, as he targets their only away trip being to lift the trophy in Durban.
"The thing that we should be happy about is that we are playing at home, and I think we've played all our [Nedbank Cup] fixtures at home," he told SuperSport TV.
"The only time we want to go away is when we go to Durban to lift the cup. Everything has fallen for us from the first draw, we've played two NFD teams and one [PSL team] Polokwane City.
"But I think at this stage of the competition you can't choose who you want to play, you've got to be ready to play anyone.
"The only thing for us now is to focus on SuperSport and we'll see what happens, but we definitely want to play in the final."
Dates and venues for the semi-final fixtures are yet to be announced.
