Chippa, who are just three points above the Absa Premiership drop zone, will host the NFD outfit at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday (15h00).

Cosmos, in 11th spot in the second tier, turned heads by outing Bidvest Wits on penalties in the previous round of the competition, with Sangweni insisting there is respect for Jomo Sono's charges.

"We will not take them for granted because they are playing in the NFD," said Sangweni, who reached the 2010 Nedbank Cup final with AmaZulu which was won by Wits.

"And we'll take the game as it is and respect Jomo Cosmos' players and everyone. But the most important thing for us is to focus on our own game and try to win it.

"Everyone is ready even though we've been struggling [in the league], and I think we are ready for this one.

"Yes, of course we cannot forget that we are struggling to get points, but I'm happy that we are on a cup run in the Nedbank Cup and hopefully on Saturday we'll win."
