Khama Billiat calls on Mamelodi Sundowns players to create their own luck

Mamelodi Sundowns forward Khama Billiat disagrees that "luck" has been the reason behind their recent struggles as he urges the team to give more effort.
Downs have gone on a run of five games in all competitions without victory, with their last win coming against Kampala Capital City Authority in their CAF Champions League play-off first leg over a month ago.
Meanwhile, they have not won a league game since their 2-0 victory over Bidvest Wits at the Loftus Versveld Stadium back in February, while amassing just one league goal since then.
Following their Nedbank Cup defeat to Golden Arrows last Saturday, coach Pitso Mosimane said: "We're just not lucky to score."
However, Billiat believes their recent troubles in front of goal has nothing to do with 'luck', and instead feels they need to give more effort in every department in order to turn things around.
"We always want to believe we create our own luck man, even if we play well maybe we need to do more," says the Zimbabwean international.
"If we create three chances in a game, maybe we need to create a fourth one, but if we didn't create the fourth one we wouldn't know and cant cry about what we missed.
"We need to do more and more, keep on playing well and just keep on adding something [to our game] – maybe we need more hunger.
"We need to make sure as strikers that we lift the team and give them confidence whenever we go forward that we'll create some opportunities and convert them."
Asked what happened to the Billiat from last season, when he scored 12 goals with 14 assists in the league, the 26-year-old replied jokingly: "I also want to see him, I'm looking for him!"
On a more serious note, he concluded: "I just need to work a little bit harder, like my coach has been saying, and try to create more combinations and a better understanding with my teammates."
