Themba Zwane expects Mamelodi Sundowns to get back to winning ways in the Nedbank Cup

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane is confident his team will return to winning ways when they take on Golden Arrows in the Nedbank Cup last-16 at Loftus Versfeld tomorrow.

Sundowns have endured a rough patch of late after failing to win any of their last five Absa Premiership matches, but Zwane has faith such form will not be on show this weekend.

"For us it’s tough but we have been in this situation before,” says Zwane.

"We know how to handle it. I think we are professional enough to soldier on. We need to work hard. Yes, we are getting chances but we are not scoring. We need to take those chances,” he adds.

Meanwhile, Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he is also confident in his players, despite the poor results in recent times.

"I can’t be harsh on my team. This is a good team. I built this team. These are African champions. These are South African champions. These are Super [Cup] champions.

"I can’t forget what these boys have given me in the last eight months and then [Wednesday] and say my boys let me down. No, it’s not over. We have to continue, keep going,” says Mosimane.
