Cape Town City have confirmed they have agreed a two-year contract extension with Austrian midfielder Roland Putsche.

The 26-year-old joined the Citizens in 2016 after six years with Wolfsberger AC, who he helped gain promotion back to the Austrian Bundesliga in 2012.

Cape Town City have since confirmed that they have agreed a new deal with the midfielder, who will remain in the Mother City until the end of the 2018/19 PSL season.

A tweet from Cape Town City read:

A statement from the club read: 'CTCFC family, we have an exciting piece of club news. Austrian midfield maestro Roland Putsche has just put pen to paper on a new two-year extension deal!

Adjusting to the game in the PSL is not always the easiest task, but Roland has become an integral member of the team - breaking down and dominating every midfield CTCFC face.

Off the field, he has really taken to the city of Cape Town and the wonderful people in it. Roland and the club are both very excited for the future and we await many more special moments from a true team player.'
