Kaizer Chiefs and Edward Manqele have parted ways by mutual consent

Posted: 6 April 2017 Time: 08:19

Kaizer Chiefs confirm they have parted ways with Edward Manqele by mutual consent.

The forward has struggled to make an impact since joining Amakhosi in 2015 and was even transfer listed last year, but that window came and went without any real interest in his services materialising.

The Soweto giants have since confirmed both parties has agreed to move on, with Chiefs announcing the news on their official website.

"Manqele was transfer listed at the end of last season but was not signed,” says Football Manager Bobby Motaung. “After speaking we agreed it was best to release him so he can find a new home and continue his football career.”

The club added that 'Details of the termination are confidential as agreed between the player and club.'
