Steve Komphela says Siyanda Xulu is training well at Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyanda Xulu is maintaining his focus at training despite falling to the back of the queue in his wait for game-time at the club.
Transfer-listed at the beginning of the season after a discouraging first year with Chiefs in which he started just five league games, Xulu’s situation has gotten even worse this term.
With no takers coming his way since being made available for sale to any interested party, Xulu has found himself as a mere passenger at Naturena with just a single appearance to show which came in the defeat to Chippa United in December.
He has been named on the bench on only two other occasions all season.
“Xulu has been training very well despite the fact that he hasn’t been getting game-time,” says Steve Komphela, the Chiefs coach.
With his career stagnating at Amakhosi, the reality is that the 25-year-old may have to find a way out of the contract which he still has with the club at the end of the season.
At present Chiefs have settled on Erick Mathoho and Lorenzo Gordinho as the first-choice pairing in central defence with Daniel Cardoso as the alternative option, while Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko can provide cover.
