Kaizer Chiefs' Tsepo Masilela respects Mamelodi Sundowns

Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela has ample respect for the ruthless streak of African champions Mamelodi Sundowns heading into tonight's showdown at FNB Stadium.
The title rivals will collide at 20h15 at Soccer City.
“It will be a tough game,” Masilela told his club's website. “They are not for nothing the reigning league and African champions. They are very strong in the middle of the park. It’s one of those matches, if you lose concentration, you get punished.”
The 31-year-old is well aware Amakhosi can ill afford to drop points in the home stretch of the season. Both teams are in the hunt for league honours along with log leaders Cape Town City and SuperSport United. Downs have 34 points from 17 games - three points shy of City and two less than Chiefs, but with four games in hand.
“We want to make the fans happy and that means that we would love to get those three points. It’s a crucial game. There are still about five teams in contention for the league trophy. We win and we are still in the title race. We just need to take our chances.”
Meanwhile, Masilela insists he will not drop his head if fellow left-back Sibusiso Khumalo starts ahead of him this evening. Off-season signing Khumalo has made 11 league starts to Masilela's eight in 2016/17.
“Competition for places is always tough at a big club like Chiefs, because we are all here on merit. The coach decides. I am a professional, the team always comes first.”
