The two goalkeepers on the Bafana Bafana bench for the friendly against Angola - Itumeleng Khune and Shu-Aib Walters – will reach landmark achievements tonight if either of them feature.

Khune stands on the brink of being the stand alone third most capped player in the history of Bafana behind Aaron Mokoena (107) and Siphiwe Tshabalala (88).

At present Khune is tied on 82 caps with Siyabonga Nomvete.

The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper made his senior national team debut in March 2008 against Zimbabwe and since then has been the preferred option between the posts.

For Walters, he will be yearning for his first ever cap in the year that he turns 36.

Walters has been called up for several senior national team camps through the years, including being part of the 2010 World Cup squad, but has never earned a cap.

His first call-up was ironically also in the same year that Khune earned his first cap for Bafana in 2008, after being summoned for a friendly against Malawi while still on the books of Bloemfontein Celtic.

He is actually the player with the most call-ups to have never made an appearance for the national team since Bafana were re-admitted to international football in 1992.

Following an impressive season with Cape Town City he has found his way back to the national team after a near seven-year absence.

Bidvest Wits keeper Darren Keet will start in goals tonight at the Buffalo City Stadium (19h00).
