Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo is putting on a positive front as he faces at least eight weeks on the sidelines through injury.
Khuzwayo had ankle surgery last Friday after taking damage in Amakhosi's 3-0 win over Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup on March 11.
“Lots of people see this as a tragedy,” Khuzwayo told the club's website.
“However, for me it is another experience that I have to go through. I look at it in two ways – I can be disappointed but I choose to look forward to return to action much stronger.”
He added: “I will live to tell the story of positivity. I am an athlete and injuries are part of the game.”
First-choice keeper Itumeleng Khune is currently with the national squad as Bafana Bafana prepare to host Angola in a friendly in East London tonight (19h00).
Chiefs also have inexperienced keepers Brylon Lee Petersen and Luthando Sixhaso on their books.
The Glamour Boys next face champions Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium on Saturday (20h15).
